We didn't see any tricks with the bunny, but he was pretty cute.

The Hunt Part Two
It wasn't much of a "hunt" but they did make the hallway dark- it made it a little bit more difficult to gather up the right color eggs for Imogene- pinks and purples
When Xander's age group started, they said: 'no limit, as many as you want' xander filled his basket and my pockets, and there were still eggs left over.
When we got back to the carnival- they were dumping eggs into the younger kids baskets- they still had two huge boxes of eggs!
Easter Carnival
Theh fishing pond gave fun little prizes:
Imogene loves bounce houses- she couldn't get enough.
Egg Dying Round 2
The boys enjoyed making two colored eggs and trying out the shrinking plastic wraps.
Ever wonder who a two year old gets her eggs out of the dye??
Now you know.
Egg Dying Round 1
We dyed way too many eggs this Easter- I think we ended up with close to 5 Dozen!
Mimi soon discarded the spoon in favor of her hands.

Imogene didn't have a lot of patience until it came time to put on the stickers.
Xander tried several different styles and patterns.

The Hunt is On!
Is it really a hunt when you spread 200 eggs out in the back yard??
The kids had fun and each gathered around 2 lbs of candy.
(don't worry though, I threw most of it away, Mimi kept dumping the bags out onto the floor.)

Easter Outfits
They loved their outfits, Xander liked not having a "real" tie.
The Girls like anything pink, ruffled, flowered, and with pockets.

Last but not least

Mimi was feeling left out and the other kids thought she needed some valentines too. So, one photo shoot, one trip to costco and 3 hours later Mimi has her own valentines.
Completed Projects
I finished some stitching last night! MiMi's stocking is finished and now needs to be sewn into a stocking shape.
I realized I had forgotten the beads and charms when I was taking this picture so I quickly sewed them on and it is ready to finish off.
Now I can start on the dishtowels that I have been saving for over a year, and the new ones I got for christmas. To practice I stitched up a couple of hankerchiefs.
I used Designs I found on Bad Bird
MIA
We have been having so much fun over the holidays that I have neglected the blog. I also have been busy making a heap of christmas gifts. The total included at least 8 little girls aprons, 6 bibs, 2 nightgowns, 2 dresses, 3 purses, 3 soft alphabets in bags, 2 pajama pants, 5 sets of hot pads, 12+ hair clippies, 5 crayon roll-ups, 1 monogram for a lunch box, 3 pairs altered PJs (imogene, xander and jack), and a bunch of gift bags to hold it all. I still have lunch boxes to "un-monogram", some pot holders in progress, a shirt to finish for me, a pattern for a couple of shirts for me, Adam's pj shorts, and I want to embroider little designs on flour sack dishtowels but I have to finish MiMi's cross stiched stocking first. And I need to make some progress on Xander's stocking as he is asking me when I will work on his.
Days of 47 Float preview party
I forgot my camera so you don't get to see the floats until the parade. We voted for our favorites and picked out balloon creations and beautiful face paint. (Xander's isn't beautiful, it's cool!) The woman who painted their faces is so talented- she can do an entire creation in less than 5 minutes.
Day 11 Selective Color
Day 11: Selectively color part of an image
I have tried this teqnique before, using layer masks to reveal the color "hidden" beneath.
I just tried to have a little fun.
Imogene was disappointed because her body wasn't painted, being in black and white kind of bothers her.

I like this picture better in color, with a little bit of sharpness added, MiMi's eyes just sparkle.
