Swimming in Jackson Lake

We took the kids down to the lake one of the days and while I took a ton of pictures, I'm only going to subject you to less htan half. Beware it's still a lot of pictures. I decided that I couldn't put all my pictures into one post, so I am trying to break it up somewhat.

(she wasn't trying to drink the water, just prove that she could put her face in, like her big brother)

She was really proud of herself.

Yellowstone Photowalk

I'm still working on my Teton and Yellowstone photos, but here are a couple from the Worldwide Photowalk at Old Faithful.

Swimming

All three kids are signed up swimming lessons this summer. I was so nervous, when the teacher finished working with MiMi, she had her hang onto the side of the pool, I was sure she would let go, but she hung on. She played with the other kids in the class, moving hand over hand along the edge of the pool. She loves her lessons, she can blow bubbles and is working on floating on her back.

Imogene is fearless, though she says she "almost drownded" after every lesson. She is working on floating indepentently and swimming under the water.

Xander is working on developing actual strokes, he has good form when he isn't thinking about it, but when the teacher calls attention to it, he gets awkward and can't swim smoothly.

Baseball

Xander is having a great time at baseball, he enjoys sitting out on the field and talking with the other players.

I Heart Faces- Photo Walk

Do you know what a photowalk is? I didn't either until I signed up for this one. we had a group of about 45 people, all with cameras, walking around the 9th and 9th area of Salt Lake. We had a great time and learned a lot form each other and the photowalk leader.

Here are just a few of my favorite images from the walk. I would have liked to have more pictures, but i had to run to Xander's baptism, and left the walk early. I will be going on another photowalk while we are on vacation in Yellowstone. If you want to photowalk, there is a utah group that meets monthly and there is a worldwide photowalk taking place on July 24.
